He held the positions of President and Vice-President of IPAD – Portuguese Institute for Development Support, member of the Board of Governors of IPAD, Non-Executive of SOFID.

Participated as consultant in several international projects.

Currently Associate Professor at the Higher Institute of Agronomy (ISA) and external collaborator at AGRO.GES.
